Ohayo Mountain Pool

This pool and pool house are nestled into the wooded mountaintop of the Ohayo Mountains, surrounded by forest. as part of a larger 8 acre family retreat.

Clad in pine, the pool house will naturally weather and darken over time, eventually taking on a deep, almost black tone that allows it to blend seamlessly with the surrounding trees.

Positioned at the edge of the woods, the pool house forms a direct connection between the forest and the pool. Its compact design serves two primary functions: housing the pool equipment and mechanical systems, while also providing shade and shelter for those using the pool, an outdoor shower, and sauna.

The saltwater pool is surrounded by a bluestone deck, creating a simple, durable transition between the architecture, water, and landscape. Mature trees frame the pool on three sides, providing privacy and year-round visual interest while allowing the pool house and landscape to feel embedded within the forest.
